Ryan Pethrow is a Bulgarian artist born on January 20, 1982, in Sofia. He grew up between Bulgaria and Brussels, where he discovered his passion for acting. As a child and teenager, he performed in school plays and appeared in several film, TV, and commercial productions between 1991 and 1995, with additional roles in 2001, 2002, 2010, and 2012. Since the early 2000s, Ryan has also been active in online platforms and social media, gradually building a digital presence that later became an important extension of his artistic work. After returning to Bulgaria, he temporarily stepped away from acting, later becoming a father in 2004. In 2019, he reignited his artistic career by training at the prestigious Nu Boyana Stunt Academy, led by Adam Horton. He continued developing his stunt and acting skills and went on to appear in various commercials, films, and short productions. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Ryan expanded his impact on social media, where his expressive style and acting-based sketches attracted a growing audience. In 2021, he wrote the horror story “La balançoire (The Swing)”, later adapting it into a short film script. In 2022, he appeared in 12 episodes of the Bulgarian TV production “Sofia at Home.” In 2023, he began writing three books, including two novels. Today, Ryan continues to evolve as an actor, stunt performer, storyteller, and content creator, driven by creativity, discipline, and a passion for impactful artistic work.
