Six years ago, Miki and her younger sister, Aya, lost their parents in a ferry accident off the coast of Ishikawa Prefecture's Noto Peninsula, and are taken in by their aunt. After graduating from university and working at a bank, Miki has a boyfriend, Mitsuji, whom she has been dating since their student days. Seven years after the accident, Miki attends the seventh anniversary memorial service for the victims and reunites with Yoichiro, who also lost his parents in the same accident, and he proposes to her. Miki broke up with Mitsuji for personal reasons and chose to marry Yoichiro, who worked at a TV station and met the three high standards.
